A facial is a wonderful way to recharge your appearance and relax at the same time, all while exfoliating your skin and removing impurities and dead skin. While most facials are painless, some require “extraction” which can cause some patients to wince (or even cry) depending on their pain tolerance. Our technicians have many years of experience performing all types of facials, so you should have an overall very comfortable experience.

What to expect on the day of your Facial

Although every Facial technique has its specific procedure, when you come in for your Facial, you should have an experience very similar to what is listed below. On the day of your Facial, you will begin by having your face cleaned with a special soap to remove your makeup and unwanted oils, as well as help you get the most out of your facial. This should be a very soothing process and helps many of our clients feel more relaxed. Next, your technician will use a gentle exfoliate to remove dead skin cells and other impurities that aren’t embedded in the skin. Once your skin has been prepped, your technician will begin removing the skin impurities that have settled into your skin (blackheads, whiteheads, mild acne), however many clients find it very peaceful with some even falling asleep. If you have acne that is about to burst or that isn’t ready to be popped, these will be left alone. If you have any severe acne or impurities that are deep in your skin, the technician may recommend seeing a Dermatologist help with that. When it’s all finished and depending on the facial you are getting, a cold towel will be placed over your face to help close the pores or a mild laser may be applied over a gauze mask. As mentioned above, your experience may differ, but this should have given you an idea of what to expect. If you are interested in a more specific experience, please bring this up during your consultation and your technician will be more than happy to walk you through it.
