This is an innovative technology that sets new standards for aging skin, active lifestyles, and sun-damaged skin (such as dark or brown spots). The photofacial combats the effects of UV damage by using short blasts of high-intensity light that allows us to accurately treat pigmented irregularities, small facial spider veins, types of Rosacea, and many other skin conditions. Your treatment will be personalized to match your skin type and your desired results.
Any area of your body can be treated. The most treated areas are those most exposed to the damaging effects of sunlight. The most popular treatment areas are the face, neck, chest, arms, legs, and the back of the hands.

What It’s Like to Get A Photofacial
What’s the first step?
If you are interested in an IPL Photofacial in The Woodlands area, the first step is to schedule your consultation with one of our certified technicians. When you come into your appointment, you will get the opportunity to address all of your aesthetic goals, learn more about the procedure, and have an evaluation to determine the best treatment plan for you.
Once you find yourself in agreement with your technician on their assessment, you will be able to schedule your treatment session with our patient coordinator who will also provide you with a cost breakdown and any pre-session instructions.
What to Expect on the Day of an IPL Photofacial
The energy delivered by our #1-rated laser on the market will gently heat the upper layers of your skin. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas will stimulate your skin cells to regenerate new collagen. As your skin is repairing itself, it will slowly sluff off any dull damaged pigment. This process will restore your skin to its natural beauty, making it smoother, vibrant, refreshed, and younger looking which creates a more even complexion.
Your eyes will be protected with safety glasses. You may briefly feel a warm-snapping sensation as the light is absorbed by the targeted areas. The procedure is quick, depending on the size of the treated area and the type of procedure being performed.
IPL Photofacial Recovery
What is the downtime?
You may experience some redness that should resolve within a few hours. For some pigmented lesions, you will see a darkening of the treated areas followed by fading and flaking off at a later stage. The treatment will leave skin feeling smoother, fine lines and pores will be less noticeable, and sunspots or uneven pigmentation will fade. Results depend on your condition, the number of treatments, and the area treated. We will provide you with complete information about the post-treatment care and results.
This is a non-invasive procedure with nearly no downtime. In most cases, you can return to work, apply makeup, and resume most of your activities immediately.
You will be sensitive to ultra-violet light and you must avoid direct sun exposure until completely healed. Using good sunscreen whenever you go outdoors and daily is always recommended.

The cost of an IPL Photofacial in The Woodlands will vary on several factors, including the number of sessions you will need. IPL Photofacial FAQs
This procedure is gentle, noninvasive, and safe. There is no need for a topical anesthetic, however, we may choose to use it on more sensitive areas. Patients usually describe a warm-snapping sensation when receiving these treatments.
The number of treatments needed will vary from patient to patient. Three to six treatments are usually recommended to start, spaced four weeks apart for each appointment. Seychelles will personalize a treatment plan based on the level of improvement you desire. We may also combine your treatment with other popular aesthetic procedures like the Micro Laser Peel to meet your needs and achieve a better outcome.
Depending on your level of treatment and reaction to the procedure, you could see results as quickly as a few hours or as long as 2 weeks. You will notice that your skin will be red immediately following the treatment, but this will dissipate relatively quickly. If you are having sunspots, age spots, or broken blood vessels treated, it could take up to 2 weeks for them to clear up.
The most common pairing for an IPL Photofacial is with a Chemical Peel as they work best in correcting sun damage, hyperpigmentation, and uneven skin tone. Other clients will choose to do other facial treatments such as Dermaplaning or Laser Hair Removal.
Although we use the highest quality and updated technology available and our certified technicians have many years of experience performing this procedure, there are still some side effects that could come with an IPL Photofacial. We’ve listed them below:
If you experience any long-lasting or concerning side effects, please contact us immediately.
