What to Expect on the Day of getting Dermal Fillers?

Your treatment will begin with strategic points that will be marked as the appropriate injection sites for the filler. Photographs may also be taken of the areas to be treated for comparison

Next, the injection sites will be cleansed with an antibacterial agent and a cold instrument may be used to chill the skin, and a numbing ointment will be applied. Depending on what is discussed during your consultation, you may have the option of an injection of local anesthesia.

Most patients find the procedure to be painless and the injections are typically easily tolerated.

Once the site is properly numb, the technician will begin the process of injecting, massaging, and evaluating the result in the targeted areas, adding additional filler when needed. Injection usually takes only a few moments per site. Depending on the number of areas to be treated, the whole process can last between 15 minutes up to an hour.

When you and your technician are satisfied with the results, any remaining markings will be cleansed off. You may be offered an ice pack to reduce swelling and alleviate discomfort.
