Photofacial Laser Treatments

This is an innovative technology that sets new standards for aging skin, active lifestyles, and sun-damaged skin (such as dark or brown spots). The photofacial combats the effects of UV damage by using short blasts of high-intensity light that allows us to accurately treat pigmented irregularities, small facial spider veins, types of Rosacea, and many other skin conditions. Your treatment will be personalized to match your skin type and your desired results.

How does the Photofacial work?

The energy delivered by our #1 rated laser on the market, will gently heat the upper layers of your skin. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas will stimulate your skin cells to regenerate new collagen. As your skin is repairing itself, it will slowly sluff off any the dull damaged pigment. This process will restore your skin to its natural beauty, making it smoother, vibrant, refreshed, and younger looking which creates a more even complexion.

What conditions can be treated with a photofacial?
  • Pigmented Lesions (e.g., freckles, age spots, brown spots)
  • Vascular Lesions (e.g., visible spider veins, broken capillaries)
  • Acne (kills the harmful bacteria)
  • Skin Firmness (Stimulates Collagen)
  • Uneven Skin Texture and Tone
  • Unwanted Hair
  • Telangiectasia (small red spots on skin)
  • Rosacea
  • Aging Skin
What areas can be treated?

Any area of your body can be treated. The most treated areas are those most exposed to the damaging effects of sunlight. The most popular treatment areas are on the face, neck, chest, arms, legs, and the back of hands.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments needed will vary from patient to patient. Three to six treatments are usually recommended to start, spaced four weeks apart for each appointment. Seychelles will personalize a treatment plan based on the level of improvement you desire.  We may also combine your treatment with other popular aesthetic procedures like the Micro Laser Peel to meet your needs and achieve a better outcome.

What will happen during the procedure?

Your eyes will be protected with safety glasses. You may briefly feel a warm-snapping sensation as the light is absorbed by the targeted areas. The procedure is quick, depending on the size of the treated area and the type of procedure being performed.

Will it be uncomfortable?

This procedure is gentle, noninvasive and safe. There is no need for a topical anesthetic, however, we may choose to use it on more sensitive areas. Patients usually describe a warm-snapping sensation when receiving these treatments.

What should I expect after treatment?

You may experience some redness that should resolve within a few hours. For some pigmented lesions, you will see a darkening of the treated areas followed by fading and flaking off at a later stage. The treatment will leave skin feeling smoother, fine lines and pores will be less noticeable, and sunspots or uneven pigmentation will fade. Results depend on your condition, the number of treatments, and the area treated. We will provide you with complete information about the post treatment care and results.

How long will it take to recover?

This is a noninvasive procedure with nearly no downtime. In most cases, you are able to return to work, apply makeup, and resume most of your activities immediately.

What aftercare do I need?

You will be sensitive to ultra-violet light and you must avoid direct sun exposure until completely healed. Using a good sunscreen whenever you go outdoors and daily is always recommended.
